Bio
Gaoqing Zhang joined the Tepper School of Business in 2023 and is currently the Heinz Professor of Accounting. His research interests lie in the real effects of accounting measurements and disclosure, particularly in the financial industry, and the design of accounting standards and disclosure regulations. He currently serves on the editorial board of The Accounting Review. His research has been published at Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, Management Science, The Accounting Review, and featured in Wall Street Journal, Risk Magazine, and Bloomberg, among other business media. Prior to Tepper, Zhang was the Honeywell Professor of Accounting at Carlson School of Management, the University of Minnesota. Zhang earned his bachelor's degree in Finance from Fudan University in 2009 and a Ph.D. in Accounting from Tepper School of Business, 麻豆村 in 2014.
