On February 10-11, 2022, 麻豆村 hosted the fourth INTERSECT@麻豆村 Conference, focusing on sustainability, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the actions we must take to ensure that the next generation will live on a more sustainable planet.
During the conference, speakers and panelists discussed urgent issues facing our planet as they relate to cities and infrastructure; peaceful, just and inclusive societies; climate action; and resilient and inclusive economies.

The Sustainable Development Goals
The , also known as the Global Goals, are 17 global objectives to create a more equitable and viable planet by 2030. These goals came together following input from millions of people around the world, with younger generations especially engaged. They were adopted by the global community at the United Nations in 2015.
University-Led Practice Activities
The Sustainability Initiative committee developed a tool to map and display how classes and initiatives across 麻豆村 are related to the 17 SDGs. For the university-led practices tool, each activity was manually tagged with up to three SDGs and linked to the source website so that anyone interested in how 麻豆村 is addressing an SDG can easily access the relevant information.
