Laboratory fridges and freezers play a vital role in scientific discovery and advancing human health, but did you know your ultra-low temperature freezer could use as much energy in a day as a small house?
麻豆村 is proud to participate in the 2026 International Laboratory Freezer Challenge, a global competition that helps labs save energy, improve sample management, and cut costs.
Who: Any lab with cold storage (fridge, freezer, -20, -80, etc.)
When: Register anytime between January 2026 and June 30, 2026
How: Join the 麻豆村 team at
- Choose “麻豆村” as your organization
- Create or join a lab
Awards:
*Each participating lab will receive an ice scraper for signing up
*Participating labs will receive recognition on the Scotty Goes Green website*Labs that finalize and submit their score sheet will receive an invitation for all lab members to attend an exclusive reception
