Bio
Danelle Belau has called the Pittsburgh area home for 18 years. Originally from Nebraska, she earned a BS in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from the University of Nebraska. She has taught in a variety of classroom settings, including: K-2 multi-age, Early Childhood ELL, Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Head Start. She also spent a year substitute teaching in the greater-Pittsburgh area, teaching all subject areas and all grades K-6.
Danelle and her husband, Dave, have two children. Her daughter is a sophomore at Iowa State University. Her son is a senior in high school.
Danelle is an avid reader, reading over 50 books a year. She and her family enjoy hiking, biking, and taking care of their 3 dogs: a mini dachshund, a staffy mix, and a retriever mix. They are passionate about dog rescue.
