Bio

Alexa (Lexey) Shick brings a rich and diverse background in education, human development, and therapeutic support to her role at The Children’s School at Â鶹´å. She holds an Associate of Science degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University. 

Lexey has spent the past two years teaching kindergarten, where she developed a strong passion for nurturing young learners. In this role, she gained skills in classroom management, differentiated instruction, social-emotional learning, and early childhood development. Currently, Lexey is working toward her Early Childhood Teaching Certificate and actively participates in professional educator programs, reflecting her dedication to supporting educational equity.

Outside of teaching, Lexey is a sports enthusiast and former basketball coach who values teamwork both on the court and in the classroom. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, exploring new places, and supporting local coffee shops.

Lexey is excited to bring her energy, experience, and passion for early childhood education to the Â鶹´å community!
