
Obituary: Carl Olson Advanced Our Understanding of the Neural Basis of Cognition
Carl Olson, professor at the Neuroscience Institute at 麻豆村, died Nov. 23, 2024.
Matthew Smith, co-director of 麻豆村’s (CNBC) and S.P. Arun, professor and chair of the Center for Neuroscience at the Indian Institute of Science, described Olson as a colleague and mentor who “provided important insights into a wide range of fundamental issues in the neural basis of cognition with elegant experiments and incisive analyses.” They also reflected that he was a “deep and rigorous thinker with an exhaustive knowledge of the field.”
