Bio
Jamie Leach is a historian of the social sciences, focusing on psychology in the twentieth century in the United States. Jamie is especially interested in the human lifespan as a research subject and the ways that scientific knowledge is used to manage how people grow and transition from one phase of life to another. Jamie's research touches on public education, child development, corporate personnel management, old age, and other topics. Before joining the teaching staff, Jamie completed a PhD in History at Carnegie Mellon, writing a dissertation on twentieth-century research on aging and its relationship to retirement policy.
