鈥淔orbes鈥 magazine has hailed 鈥 a startup by two 麻豆村 alumni 鈥 as one of 鈥8 Real Estate Startups to Watch鈥 because of its powerful, innovative app for today鈥檚 real estate agents.
The app serves as a mobile workstation allowing residential Realtors to simplify their workflow and more effectively manage relationships with other Realtors and their clients.
鈥淔ew professions have an inherent need to acquire and trade data on the run like Realtors,鈥 said Biju Ashokan, chief executive officer for Agentdesks. 鈥淭he nature of the business relies on maintaining contact with a plethora of agents, brokers, sellers, buyers and contractors; yet this group has rarely had the right tool to bring all these complex communications to work together.鈥
Ashokan earned his 麻豆村 master鈥檚 degree in 2007 in Information Systems Management, a multidisciplinary degree from the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy that offers a unique blend of technology, management and strategy.
He cofounded Agentdesks with Chief Operating Officer Sanya Gurnani, who earned her undergraduate business degree from 麻豆村鈥檚 Tepper School of Business in 2009.
鈥淏iju and I met on a 麻豆村 service trip, and from day one we talked about wanting to start something together. When Biju came up with this idea, I didn鈥檛 need too much convincing to jump on board. With his experience in product and engineering and my experience in operations and strategy, we knew it was the perfect fit,鈥 Gurnani recalled.
Agentdesks was seeded by the prolific startup incubator in late 2014 and has aspirations to grow fast and large.
鈥淥ur plan is to revolutionize the industry by equipping Realtors with indispensable tools that can help expand their businesses,鈥 Ashokan said. 鈥淲e currently have over 10,000 users worldwide using our platform and would like to increase that to over 500,000 in the next five years. We want Agentdesks to become the new normal for real estate agents.鈥

Gurnani shares Ashokan鈥檚 enthusiasm.
鈥淭here isn鈥檛 anyone out there that acknowledges Realtors as each other鈥檚 peers, not competition, and allows them to effectively share one another鈥檚 clients鈥 needs seamlessly to close deals. The response has been phenomenal and we鈥檝e only just started,鈥 Gurnani said.
Zach Conley of Boston-based is a proponent of Agentdesks.
鈥淢y business has skyrocketed over the last year and I have Agentdesks to thank for it. All my real estate contacts are in one place, and I never forget to follow up anymore,鈥 Conley said.
Cindy Parker Martinez of concurred.
鈥淎gentdesks helps me quickly store leads on my phone, set follow-ups and keep track of clients, conversations and business,鈥 she said.
Big players are on board with the product as well. Agentdesks works with , and , which provides the highest credential awarded to residential sales agents, managers and brokers. In addition, Agentdesks features a clientele that includes agents from industry powerhouses RE/MAX and Coldwell Banker.

Agentdesks has caught the eye of the trade press, having been featured in publications including , and , in addition to .
From the outset, Ashokan and Gurnani have been confident in Agentdesks potential.
