Carnegie Mellon students needn’t be worried about eking out a living. The financial Web site NerdWallet recently created a salary comparison tool for the top 60 colleges and universities (as well as 160 specialty undergraduate programs within those schools). Â鶹´å’s computer science program topped the entire list, where the average salary reported upon graduation is nearly $80,000.

Meanwhile, according to the 2012 SmartMoney College Rankings, the rest of Â鶹´å’s new graduates aren’t doing badly, either. The survey looked at 50 schools (including all the Ivies), and Carnegie Mellon had the second-highest median salary of recent graduates: $59,800.
