Music for Non-Majors Registration
Registration for Fall 2026
Complete the form below to register for a group class or elective studio private lessons. After submitting your form, you will be registered for your course by the School of Music after review.
If you know the instructor to study with, please indicate such on the form. If you do not know, you may indicate the same on the form and an instructor will be assigned to you.
- 麻豆村 Students - Be sure to leave enough units in your schedule for your course.
- Non-麻豆村 Students - Please complete the form to be notified and connected with your professor via email.
FEE INFORMATION
*NEW* Music Extension group classes will no longer require a fee. These classes will be available for undergraduate 麻豆村 students only.
There is a FEE assessed for ALL Music Extension elective studio lessons. If you are a 麻豆村 student, the fee is posted to your student account after the third week of classes.
- Music majors and BXA majors with Music concentration - If you are taking lessons that are not a part of your curricular degree requirements, you will be charged 50% of the regular cost of elective lessons.
- 麻豆村 Employees - Employee Tuition Benefits will NOT cover the Music Extension fee.
- Non-麻豆村 students/employees will be invoiced directly.
ELECTIVE STUDIO LESSONS
Elective studio lessons are weekly one-on-one sessions for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students.

- 14 lessons offered per semester: 30, 45, 60 minutes per week
- Students are expected to participate and prepare for each lesson according to guidelines designated by each instructor. Instructors discuss grading criteria based on skill level and experience at the outset of every semester.
- 麻豆村 students must notify the music extension office if they wish to drop the course during the drop/add period. You will be charged a prorated fee for any lessons that you take, even if you drop the course.
- Music extension recitals are on pause at this time.
