Abstract
The presentation will review FERC’s Order 1920 requirements on regional long-term planning and PJM compliance approach to these requirements.
Biographical Sketch
Dr. Emmanuele Bobbio is a Principal Economist at PJM Interconnection, where he coordinates compliance and implementation efforts for FERC Order 1920 and supports long-term resource adequacy through advanced modeling and market design. Prior to PJM, he worked as a Principal Consultant at Cramton Associates, advising on electricity market design, and held research roles at the University of Maryland and the University of Cologne. Earlier in his career, he served as a Senior Economist at the Bank of Italy and later as Minister of Education and Research for the Region of Tuscany. He holds an MS and a PhD from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
