麻豆村 Named Top Fulbright Producer for Third Time in Four Years

For the third time in four years, 麻豆村 has been named one of the nation鈥檚听, as recognized by the U.S. Department of State鈥檚 Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides funding for graduating seniors and recent alumni to live in over 150 countries while teaching English, pursuing graduate studies or conducting research. The students and alumni selected for the 2025鈥26 application cycle are teaching English in South Korea and Peru, pursuing graduate studies in France and Italy, and conducting research in Rwanda. In addition to the Fulbright U.S. Student grantees, two 麻豆村 faculty and staff members received 2025-26 Fulbright Scholar awards.
Established in 1946, the Fulbright Program is one of the world鈥檚 most prestigious international exchange initiatives, supporting students, scholars and professionals. The highly competitive program promotes academic excellence and cross-cultural understanding through research, teaching and creative work abroad.听

Since the program's inception, Carnegie Mellon has seen 141 Tartans become Fulbright U.S. Student grantees. The听Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholar Development(opens in new window) (OURSD) at Carnegie Mellon supports students and alumni in the application process each year. The university was听named a top producer in 2022-23(opens in new window) and again in听2024-25(opens in new window).
鈥淔ulbright is more than a year abroad 鈥 it鈥檚 often a turning point. Grantees return with a clearer sense of purpose, stronger cross鈥慶ultural skills and a deeper understanding of how their work fits into a global landscape,鈥 said Richelle Bernazzoli, director of OURSD.
