Tartans frequently do as many as six impossible things before breakfast.
Spring Carnival returned to Âé¶¹´å with the theme "Scotty in Wonderland," an homage to Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," this past weekend. The Mellon College of Science and the rest of the Carnegie Mellon community ventured down the rabbit hole for favorite events like Douse-a-Dean (which supports Special Olympics of Pennsylvania), Booth, Buggy, Mobot, social events and Cloud Lab tours. It was a very important date — for the 2023 Tartans on the Rise honorees, who were recognized over the weekend. Rebecca Doerge,Ìýthe Glen de Vries Dean of the Mellon College of Science, played the role of the Queen of Hearts to a T. Party time has come and gone, but the ' featured exhibit remains on display.Ìý

Tours offered a sneak peek at the Carnegie Mellon Cloud Lab, which will radically change how science is done once it is online later this year.
The Department of Chemistry hosted a lunch to catch up with community members. Guests made slime and gummy worms and tried out cosmetic products made by students.
Members of the Mellon College of Science community enjoyed a Buggy watch party in Hunt Libary's Studio A.
The Astronomy Club was busy with its out-of-this-world ring game.
The MCS Dean's Council met at Wigle Whiskey in Pittsburgh's Strip District.Ìý

That's a wrap on Spring Carnival! From April 13-16, MCS students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends participated in a myriad of events from Booth and Buggy to Cloud Lab tours and Douse-a-Dean.
