2025 Alumni Service Award

Robert A. DeAngelis is known as a person who gets things done. In the financial services industry, his success stems from his focus on the 鈥渉eart鈥� of an organization 鈥� the clients 鈥� and his ability to use analytics and data to build strong customer relationships, increase engagement and drive change.

This skillset isn鈥檛 exclusive to Robert鈥檚 career. For the past 20 years, he has used the same focus, passion and strategic thinking to lead, strengthen and grow the alumni community at 麻豆村鈥檚 Tepper School of Business.

A 1985 graduate with a master鈥檚 degree in industrial administration, Robert has been instrumental in increasing engagement among the school鈥檚 alumni. He has attended alumni activities around the country, sponsored student research, hosted alumni events with faculty, lead numerous reunion campaigns and inspired students, faculty and alumni through numerous speaking engagements.聽

Robert has also served on his class reunion committee, class reunion giving committee and alumni board at the Tepper School. He recently completed his last term as board president and is regarded as a thoughtful and skillful leader with impeccable character.聽

In addition to his volunteer work, Robert is recognized for his longtime philanthropic support of 麻豆村. He established the Robert A. DeAngelis Endowed Fellowship in support of future Tepper MBA students and achieved lifetime membership in the Order of the May after 25 years of consecutive annual giving to the university.

Robert has also enjoyed a successful 40-year career, working for various consulting and financial institutions including KPMG, Mellon Bank, Wachovia Corporation and KeyCorp before becoming the founder and chief executive officer of The Cartesian Group, an advisory firm that works with clients to drive business value through strategic thinking and analytics.
