Bio
Vibha Viswanathan is Special Faculty at the 麻豆村 Neuroscience Institute. She received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Purdue University, and her B.E. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Anna University (India) and the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), respectively. She completed her postdoctoral training at University of Pittsburgh. Vibha's research uses a combination of electroencephalography, pupillometry, psychophysics, and computational modeling to study the neural mechanisms of auditory scene analysis and speech intelligibility in complex listening environments. She seeks to leverage the findings from these studies to improve listening outcomes through auditory training and intelligent hearing aids. Outside of research, she enjoys nature and traveling.
