My research focuses on first-generation undergraduate student identity, the challenges these students encounter in higher education, and the role of reflective writing interventions in supporting their academic and personal growth. As the Director of Undergraduate Programs for Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Carnegie Mellon, I collaborate on communication courses and assignments within the CEE curriculum. I am committed to advancing writing across the disciplines as a tool for developing identity, self-awareness, and student success.
