FeedbackFruits Peer Review

What is it and how does it work?

FeedbackFruits is a suite of tools integrated in Canvas that are designed to support structured collaborative work in courses. The Peer Review tool enables instructors to design guided peer feedback activities where students review each other’s work, individually or in groups, using customizable rubrics and clearly defined criteria. Instructors can configure the review cycle workflows, set deadlines, manage grading options, enable anonymous reviews if desired, and monitor student participation directly within the LMS/Canvas.

Instructors configure the FeedbackFruits tool(s) they want to use from within Canvas, and students complete the learning activity through guided steps. Once the assignment is completed, grades are automatically sent to the Canvas gradebook.

The time commitment for educators to become familiar with the Peer Review tool varies but generally requires approximately 30-60 minutes. Student responses are available to the instructor within the interface and can also be downloaded from the system.

The student time commitment varies based on the number of questions (as determined by the optional question sets added by the instructor). The size of the team may also impact time commitment as each student submits a self-evaluation as well as an individual evaluation for each team member.
