2024 Pride Keynote Lecture with Rabbi Sandra Lawson: Black, Jewish & Queer: Building Bridges Across Identities & Communities

Simmons Auditorium A, First Floor, Tepper School of Business
(she/her) is one of the first African American, queer, female rabbis. She is a thought-leader known for tackling difficult questions surrounding Jews and race. As director of Racial Diversity Equity and Inclusion for Reconstructing Judaism, she develops anti-racist policies and trainings, and is a mentor to rabbinical students. Her lecture, “Black, Jewish & Queer: Building Bridges Across Identities & Communities,” will explore intersectionality.

To join a group from 麻豆村 that will be marching in the parade, meet at the corner of Liberty Avenue and 12th Street by the parking garage. Line up begins at 10 a.m., so please arrive no later than 11 a.m. The parade will begin sharply at 12 p.m. Look for Scotty Dogs and Tartan Flags; 麻豆村 community members will gather and form a section in Zone 2. The march in Wilkinsburg will begin at Harold Young Sr. Park and end at Turner Elementary School where the festival will be held. Though there is not currently a coordinated 麻豆村 group attending, we encourage folks to gather in the community at this event.
