WHAT IS D³?
D³: Dream. Discover. Do. ("D-cubed") is an informal program for first- and second-year undergrads who want to explore career possibilities but aren’t sure where to start. Each session is led by experienced Career Peer Mentors (CPMs) in a relaxed, welcoming space!
D³ allows you to:
Give yourself permission to Dream
Discover paths and how to forge them
Do with a new perspective
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
Your future isn’t limited by your major. With skills-based hiring on the rise, what you can do sometimes matters more than what you study. In D³ sessions, you’ll engage in peer-led conversations, access curated resources, and learn from each other in a collaborative setting. You have the opportunity to gain:
• Career ideas that align with your interests and strengths
• Advice from upperclassmen peers who’ve been in your shoes
• Confidence to do things like join a club, find an internship, network, etc.
HOW IT WORKS
There are four sessions, each exploring a different theme. Sessions will be held on Mondays at 5:00pm, and CPMs will also host drop-in hours later in the week to accommodate students' different schedules. If you have follow-up questions or miss a session, swing by to chat with a CPM and maximize your D-cubed engagement. You are encouraged to attend all four of the sessions, but the sessions can also stand alone. If you attend at least three out of the four D³ sessions, you will be recognized with a certificate and invited to an exclusive networking event.
All sessions are held in the Margaret Morrison Neighborhood Commons (located below Hamerschlag House and across the street from Donner House). See the sidebar for specific dates and times.
Refreshments will be served at every D³ session!
