WHAT IS D³?
D³: Dream. Discover. Do. ("D-cubed") is an informal program for first- and second-year undergrads who want to explore career possibilities but aren’t sure where to start. Each session is led by experienced Career Peer Mentors in a relaxed, welcoming space!
D³ helps you:
Dream about what’s possible
Discover new career directions
Do what’s needed to start shaping your career path
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
Your future isn’t limited by your major. With skills-based hiring on the rise, what you can do sometimes matters more than what you studied! In D³ sessions, you’ll engage in peer-led conversations, access curated resources, and learn from each other in a collaborative setting. You have the opportunity to gain:
• Career ideas that align with your interests and strengths
• Advice from upper-class peers who’ve been in your shoes
• Confidence to do things like join a club, find an internship, network, etc.
HOW IT WORKS
There are five sessions, each exploring a particular career theme. Each session is offered twice -- the same topic once on Tuesday afternoon from 3:30 to 3:50 and again on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 7:50 -- to accommodate students' different schedules. To get the most out of the program, you are encouraged to attend all five of the sessions, but the sessions can also stand alone.
If you attend at least three out of the five D³ sessions, you will be recognized with a certificate and invited to an exclusive networking event.
All sessions are held in the Cohon University Center, in the Dowd Room (across from Rangos) or the Class of 1987 Room (next to Au Bon Pain). See the sidebar for specific dates, times and location.
Free coffee and cookies will be served at every D³ session!
